Situated in the coastal region of Tanzania, you’ll easily find a surplus of jackfruit, mangoes, and pineapple growing in the lowlands and river valleys here. With an annual rainfall of over 16 to 47 inches per year and average temperatures mostly in the high eighties, it is no wonder much of the forests found here are considered tropical.
Many of the cooperative members have fruit trees planted around their homes and their farms, many of them belong to the main ethnic group found here, the Zaramo.
