Perfect Pineapple Chutney Recipe
Looking to create a recipe that will fill your stomach and your body with goodness? Pineapples are the perfect ingredient to create a healthy, delicious and unique recipe.
Did you know a pineapple contains the amino acid tryptophan, the same amino acid found in foods like turkey and chicken. Tryptophan can also boost levels of serotonin in the brain. Serotonin is a chemical in the brain that, when released, increases feelings of happiness and pleasure. One cup of pineapple contains a robust 10mg of tryptophan, which is why health experts frequently recommend pineapple as a means to manage anxiety and depression.
Our pineapples take 18-20 months to grow, starting from a beautiful flower to creating a juicy, delicious fruit at their peak. So savor every bite of this delectable fruit! Fresh pineapples should be eaten within two days, which is why our dried fruit is the perfect, pantry-friendly option.

- ½ package Jali Fruit Co. Dried Pineapple, rehydrated & chopped
- ½ red onion, diced
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp fresh ginger, minced
- ½ cup white vinegar
- ½ coconut sugar
Add Jali Fruit Co. Dried Pineapple to a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil then remove from heat and let rehydrate for 30 minutes — strain and roughly chop. In a saucepan, saute onion and red pepper flakes until fragrant. Add pineapple, garlic, ginger, vinegar, and sugar to onions and stir to combine. Cover and simmer on low for approximately 30-45 minutes or until ingredients are combined and the mixture begins to look syrupy. Remove from heat and pulse cooled mixture in a food processor until desired consistency. Serve with Cardamom Jackfruit Cakes or as a condiment with your favorite dish.
